Focus for Survival is a celebration of Mother Nature through photography.
The competition is organised by conservation charity Explorers Against Extinction in partnership with Bradt Guides.
By sharing the story of your image you’ll be helping to raise awareness about vulnerable wildlife and at-risk wild spaces.
There are two categories – wildlife and wild spaces. Wildlife must be listed as Vulnerable, Endangered or Critically Endangered by the IUCN Red List. Wild spaces can be any at-risk wild space e.g, coral reef, rainforest, wetland etc
A shortlist of 26 images will be selected from all eligible submissions.All 26 photographers shortlisted receive complimentary one year membership to our Explorer Club.All 26 are also eligible for our annual People’s Choice Award, an award voted for by the public.The 26 images will also be part of a digital display at the charity's exhibition venues including gallery@oxo and the Royal Geographical Society, London this autumn;Six finalists from the 26 will be selected for printing and exhibited at gallery@oxo South Bank London 17-28 November 2021. One will be awarded The Focus for Survival Photographer of the Year award at the Royal Geographical Society, London on 18 November 2021.Winners of the two awards receive an engraved trophy and a goodie bag.
