Troyan Monastery "Assumption" is a monastery in Bulgaria, founded not later than the end of the 16th century.

The monastery, which is the third largest in Bulgaria, is picturesquely situated on the banks of the Cherni Osam River in the village of Oreshak, 10 km from Troyan.Founded around 1600 (Abbot Kalistrat) as before. Tradition speaks of monks from Mount Athos who go in Wallachia with the shrine of the monastery - the miraculous icon of the Virgin, which is a copy of the old miraculous icon in Hilandar Monastery (XIV century). According to a hypothesis that the monastery was founded by monks from the ruined monastery Lovech "Hawk", but it is not proven.
